Ann Greer

Positive Behaviour Support Clinician

Extensive Sector Experience

Ann Greer brings decades of experience to her role at PoDDSS, having worked across the human services sector in service development, training, and delivering personalised disability supports. A long-term Townsville resident, Ann is deeply committed to ensuring people with disabilities have opportunities to live fulfilling lives, regardless of their diagnosis or complexity. She has a strong background in designing person-centred supports that promote positive identity, growth, and access to valued community roles. Ann completed her Positive Behaviour Support Plan training through the Institute of Applied Behaviour Analysis, embracing its core belief in person-centred approaches to achieve meaningful outcomes.

Family Insight and Collaborative Practice

Ann values the vital role families play in supporting individuals with disabilities and works respectfully across diverse family dynamics. As a parent of three adult children—two of whom live with significant disability—she brings both lived and professional experience to her work. She understands what it takes to create effective, individualised supports that enable inclusion and active community participation. Ann is skilled in developing and coaching staff teams, helping them to provide consistent, person-centred support. Her work empowers both individuals and their support networks to navigate life with greater confidence, respect, and cohesion.

Specialist Skills and National Recognition

With a particular focus on individuals with behaviours of concern, Ann has supported many families and individuals to better manage complex needs. She is widely recognised for her expertise and has lectured across Australia on supporting people with challenging behaviour. Ann also has a deep understanding of sensory and movement difference disorders, facilitator communication techniques, and the subtle behavioural signals—what she refers to as “behaviour whispers”—that can shape care responses. Her broad knowledge base and passion for teaching make her a sought-after trainer and consultant in the disability sector.

Community Focus and Leadership Style

Beyond her clinical work, Ann is known for her leadership within the Townsville community and beyond. She previously managed a well-known local service for 14 years and now sits on several boards. Ann is an inspiring presence, widely respected for her dedication, warmth, and advocacy. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and excellence in disability support. She continues to offer Positive Behaviour Support, training, and consultancy services through PoDDSS. Ann can be reached directly via phone on 0412 101 097 or by email at ann@PoDDSS.com.au.
